Today, women constitute about 2% of the world’s seafaring population. In the maritime industry, female barons are scarce creating a large, untapped pool of economic drivers. However, women are an integral part of the shipping community and they play a pivotal role in shaping its future. They are direct contributors to economic growth. They are the custodians of change. As an organization that stands to empower seafarers, we focus our efforts on women seafarers by introducing the “INSPIRING WOMEN, EMPOWERING SHIPPING” global campaign. Through this drive we will provide free of cost L&D sessions for women serving the global maritime cluster. With this campaign, Potentia World promises to build a prolific future for women seafarers. It is our social responsibility and moral duty to empower women from all around the world to be a part of the spirited, dynamic community of Shipping. Let 2021 be a year of change. A year of action!
